These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to your use of our website, online store, products, subscriptions, correspondence, and related services operated by The Becoming Letter (“we”, “us”, “our”).

The Becoming Letter is based in Western Australia, Australia and is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide our online store and related services.

By visiting our website, placing an order, subscribing to our correspondence, or otherwise using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use our website or purchase from our store.

1. Eligibility and Use of Our Website

By using our website or purchasing from The Becoming Letter, you confirm that you are at least the age of majority in your state, territory, province, or country of residence, or that you have permission from a parent or guardian.

You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information when placing an order or creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account details and for all activity under your account.

You agree not to use our website, products, or services for any unlawful, harmful, misleading, abusive, or fraudulent purpose.

2. Our Products and Correspondence

The Becoming Letter offers paper-based correspondence products, including monthly editions, one-off editions, subscription correspondence, yearly correspondence, and Personal Correspondence.

Each edition may include items such as a written letter, reflection card, vow card, postcard, envelope, and related printed or paper-based materials.

We make every effort to display and describe our products accurately. However, colours, paper appearance, packaging, and other visual elements may vary slightly due to screen settings, printing differences, stock availability, and the handmade or assembled nature of the product.

Product descriptions, inclusions, prices, and availability may change at any time without notice.

3. Reflective Correspondence Only

The Becoming Letter is created as reflective, written correspondence.

Our letters, cards, prompts, reflections, and Personal Correspondence are intended for personal reflection, encouragement, and inspiration only. They are not therapy, counselling, coaching, psychological advice, medical advice, legal advice, financial advice, or professional advice of any kind.

You are responsible for your own decisions, actions, wellbeing, and interpretation of any correspondence you receive from us.

If you require medical, psychological, legal, financial, or other professional support, you should seek advice from an appropriately qualified professional.

4. Personal Correspondence

Personal Correspondence may allow you to write to The Becoming Letter with personal reflections, goals, questions, or details about your current season of becoming.

By sending us personal reflections or written replies, you acknowledge that you are choosing to share that information with us for the purpose of receiving reflective correspondence.

Personal Correspondence is written in response to the information you provide, but it remains reflective and personal in nature. It should not be relied upon as professional advice.

Where Personal Correspondence requires you to send a written reply to The Becoming Letter, the postage cost of sending that reply is your responsibility. These postage costs are not covered by The Becoming Letter, as domestic and international postage rates vary.

Unless stated otherwise, Personal Correspondence will usually be prepared within the timeframe listed on the relevant product page after we receive the required reply or information from you.

5. Orders and Acceptance

When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the selected product or service.

Your order is accepted once payment has been successfully processed and we confirm the order. We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or limit an order at our discretion, including where there is an error in pricing, product availability, payment, shipping details, or suspected misuse of our services.

Please review your order carefully before submitting it. Once an order has been processed, packed, printed, personalised, or dispatched, we may be unable to cancel or amend it.

6. Prices, Payment, and Currency

All prices are listed on our website and are subject to change without notice.

Postage for products purchased through our website is included in the final product price unless otherwise stated at checkout or on the product page.

You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate payment and billing information. Payment must be successfully completed before an order or subscription edition is dispatched.

The Becoming Letter is not currently registered for GST. Prices do not include GST unless this is expressly stated.

International customers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, tariffs, fees, or other charges that may apply in their country.

7. Subscriptions

The Becoming Letter may offer monthly and yearly subscription options.

By purchasing a subscription, you agree that your subscription will automatically renew unless cancelled before the next billing date.

Monthly subscriptions renew each month. Yearly subscriptions renew annually unless cancelled before the next billing date.

You may cancel your subscription through your customer account or by contacting us at aleksandra@thebecomingletter.com.

Cancellations must be made before your next billing date. If a subscription payment has already been processed, the relevant edition may still be prepared and dispatched.

If a subscription payment fails, is declined, or is not completed, the relevant edition will not be sent.

8. Dispatch, Shipping, and Delivery

The Becoming Letter ships domestically within Australia and internationally.

Each monthly edition is dispatched from the 10th of the month until the next month’s edition is released, unless otherwise stated on the product page.

Delivery timeframes are estimates only and may vary depending on your location, postal carrier, customs processing, public holidays, weather events, or circumstances outside our control.

Once an order has been dispatched, delivery is handled by the relevant postal carrier. We are not responsible for delays, loss, damage, or delivery issues caused by postal services, customs, incorrect shipping details, or events outside our control.

You are responsible for ensuring your shipping address is complete and accurate at the time of purchase.

9. Missing, Damaged, or Incorrect Orders

Please inspect your order when it arrives.

If your item is damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us as soon as possible at aleksandra@thebecomingletter.com with your order details and clear photographs of the issue.

Where appropriate, we may offer a replacement or another suitable resolution. Replacement requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Missing or delayed orders are also reviewed on a case-by-case basis. However, we do not automatically provide refunds for missing orders where the issue is caused by the postal carrier, customs, incorrect shipping information, or circumstances outside our control.

10. Returns and Refunds

Due to the nature of printed correspondence and paper-based products, we do not generally accept returns or offer refunds for change of mind.

Refunds, replacements, or other resolutions may be considered where an item is damaged, defective, or incorrect, provided you contact us with order details and clear photographs.

All refund and replacement requests are handled in accordance with our Refund Policy.

11. Privacy and Personal Information

Your use of our website and services is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

We collect and use personal information to operate our store, process orders, arrange shipping, manage subscriptions, communicate with customers, and provide our products and services. Personal information may also be processed by Shopify and other service providers that support our website and store. Your Privacy Policy currently explains that Shopify hosts the store and may process customer information in order to provide and improve the services.

Where you provide personal reflections, goals, stories, or other information for Personal Correspondence, we will use that information for the purpose of preparing and providing the correspondence.

12. Customer Feedback, Reviews, and Testimonials

If you submit feedback, reviews, testimonials, comments, messages, or other content to us, you grant us permission to use, reproduce, publish, and display that feedback for purposes including customer service, business improvement, promotion, and marketing.

Where feedback includes identifying personal information, we will seek permission before publishing it in a way that identifies you.

We may use anonymous feedback, first-name-only feedback, or non-identifying excerpts for promotional purposes, provided they do not identify you personally.
